We are pleased to announce that we will be holding two Beginner’s Fencing Camps during the EUSD Fall Break. The first camp will be held from October 24th-28th and the second camp will be held from October 31st-November 4th.

During the week-long session, new students will be introduced to the basic techniques and concepts of modern Olympic Fencing, and by the end will be able to compete with their campmates in bouts.

Running both camps will be Coach Aaron Kandlik, who has over 20 years of experience teaching and competing in fencing. While he has worked with competitors from the local to the Olympic level, he maintains a great passion for introducing new students to Fencing. Coach Kandlik is also a USA Weightlifing Level 1 coach, as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The camp will run from 10 am to 1 pm, with a short break for snacks. During the camp, students will not only learn the techniques and rules of fencing, but will also play games to develop focus, decision-making, agility, and even teamwork.

Aspiring fencers should wear athletic clothing (shorts/sweats, t-shirt, etc), clean shoes with non-marking soles, and bring a snack and a water bottle. Please use the links below to register for your Camp!
