The results continue to pour in for Encinitas Fencing Academy. Several fencers participated in the Men’s and Women’s Open Epee tournament, and all came back with excellent results.

Encinitas Fencing Academy fencers David “Lucky” Polakoski, Ilyssa Freiburger, Roark Harris, and Allison Chan capped off a month of competitions with strong performances at the Bladerunner ROC/RJC event, held by the UCSD fencing team on November 4th and 5th.

The holiday break was long: the last youth competition was at the beginning of last December and the holidays came at the end of the month. However, EFA fencers were clearly hard at work, coming into the first Youth/JR competition of the new year ready to compete and were rewarded with several great results.

Allison Chan, Roark Harris, and Coach David “Lucky” Polakoski represented Encinitas Fencing Academy at the second San Diego Cup Open of the season on Sunday, October 22nd. They came in armed with effort-based goals, and came back with great results.

Encinitas Fencing Academy hosted the first San Diego Cup event for Youth and Junior Epee last Saturday on October 28th. An astounding 64 fencers participated across 5 events, including several EFA fencers for whom this was their first competition.
